Blog 5, Scaling and Animation

Introduction:

Discovering animation has been a blast. Having only worked with C# in the past, I have never had to address images or this style of animation. Premiere is a great tool for this short of work, but I have had a really hard time adjust and using it. I play a lot of games and use a lot of programs, but my weakness has always been UI. Learning how to use the UI has always been a challenge but I had lots of fun messing around in Premier and animating these photos.

Our Topic:

Will Harris and I came up with the idea to make a sort of spoof on the crocodile hunter or discovery channel by talking about the "wildlife and habitat" of HPU. We will "explore" the campus to find the best way to survive while meeting all the new people and places.

Working in a group, Derek and I came across the same type of issues. We both had these great ideas in theory and could talk about what we wanted it to end up like. However, our execution slowed when we realized that we struggled with the doing. It took a lot of time to find and work with the cool inner workings of the Effect Control tab. Learning how the time between and the placement of keyframes would affect the flow and movement of the animation. Cinecom.net had an extremely helpful video in learning and reminding myself how to get things moving. Unlike he said, I am not yet able to distinguish my amateur animation skill into pro level talent. Hopefully these look good!
