Blog 2, Expert Interview
My Expert:
My
expert for this project was Dr. Amanda Allen, Dr. Allen is the British Historian
here at High Point and a key member of the history department. She is also my two-time
history professor. She has extensive knowledge of history, but more important a
love and a knack for teaching it, to my personal testament! I wanted to get to
know why she started teaching history, and why she loves history. Then I followed
up with asking her why she finds it important to teach history herself.
Editing the interview:
In editing
the interview, I wanted to grab what was truly important. She gave me lot of wonderful
content, so much that I would have to cut some down. I wanted to be true to her
and not change her message or answers around, so I had some challenge in decide
what not to keep! Hopefully when looking at both you see the message clearly and
more smoothly. I did use the tips we learned in class from Professor Heagney to
quiet down some the background static of her office/ my poor mic.
